Abstracts


Hospital visit
-Outline-
 On day2 (10:00-14:30), we divide participants into so me small groups (5 to 6 people per group) and visit the hospital and the department. During lunch, we discuss "Clinical Practice" in each group. We integrate and present the opinions.
 Through this tour, you find a lot of differences between your country and Japan. Based on these differences, we are planning to discuss what to do to develop each country, considering each country's background, such as culture, education, environment, government policy and so on.

-Goal/Purpose-
 We hope the tour to the hospital, where the actual "Clinical Practice" is executed, help you to make the discussion and the presentation about "Clinical Practice" more creative and practical.
 We inform you of details on this website as soon as it decides.


Presentation & Discussion:clinical practice
-Outline-
 The representative students from 9 countries give a presentation about "Clinical Practice" in each of their country. The presentations are held on day2 (15:00-16:30) and day3 (10:00-14:30). Each presentation is 30 minutes including questions and answers. After that, discussion of "Clinical Practice" is held to deepen our knowledge even more on day3 (15:00-17:00).

-Background-
For physical therapy students, "Clinical Pracice" is indispensable to be a physical therapist. The systems of "Clinical Practice" are different in each country. Therefore we selected "Clinical Practice" as the theme of the presentation in the 2nd Annual Congress.

-Goles/purpose-
 Through this program, you not only reconsider the system of clinical practice in your country, but also understand "Clinical Practice" in other countries. Then you are able to consider common features, differences and the cultural back ground from various angles.
 We hope this will be an opportunity for you to brush up your knowledge and make use of each presentation for the development of physical therapy in Asia and your country.


Symposium:Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR)
-Outline-
 On day3 (17:30-18:00), Japanese students give presentations about the concept of Japanese community based rehabilitation.
 On day4 (9:30-13:00), the symposium includes academic seminars and panel discussion.
 First, we have academic seminars by two guest speakers, who are familia with CBR and the situation in Asia. In academic seminars, we focus on two themes of CBR: "Home-Visit Rehabilitation" and "Prevention". After the academic seminars, we hold a panel discussion with two guest speakers as an opportunity to share opinions.

-Goal/Purpose-
 Through these programs, we believe you can get an opportunity consider what physical therapist is able to do for community with students in various countries.
